The Bornean orangutan is a species of orangutan native to the island of Borneo. Like the other great apes, orangutans are highly intelligent, displaying tool use and distinct cultural patterns in the wild. Experts have been warning that unless deforestation stops in Borneo, orangutans living in the wild could go extinct in a decade.
